Mara (Olivia Chenery) was the firstborn daughter of Gorrik, Thane of the Mere, and the older sister of Kela.

Biography

Originally intended by her father to be betrothed to Slean, Mara was in love with one of her father's guardsmen, Rowan, and sought a way to be with him instead. Alas, she fell ill with sea fever and was unknowingly poisoned by her own sister, Kela, so that she would be Slean's betrothed instead.

Mara died happy that she was her lover's and not someone else's. (Episode 5)
